St. Joseph/St. Raymond Council was founded on October 31, 1976 through the efforts of 36 members of the St. Joseph Parish. It is named after the former St. Joseph Church in Epping, New Hampshire and the former St. Raymond Church in Raymond, New Hampshire.
Today, Council 6850 is composed of over 160 Catholic gentlemen and their families committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Order is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago and remains true to this today.
Business meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the St. Joseph Church Hall. In addition, a number of social meetings for Knights and their families are periodically held.
Our council hosts many activities throughout the year. Monthly activities include various fundraisers and social events including involvement in the Raymond Town Fair, Halloween party, food baskets, Christmas party, Christmas tree sales, fishing derby, Memorial Day Parade and much, much, more.
In addition we are also involved in a number of church activities including providing assistance to those in need, our motorcycle blessing, pancake breakfasts, stations of the cross, and our annual parish picnic. Council 6850 always strives to live up to its motto -- "Where There's a Need, There's a Knight."
