FAREWELL FROM FR DON …. Before I pack my computer and last-minute things, I wanted to offer a general “thank you” to all of you for your support of the parish of St. Joseph in Epping, while I was pastor.
A heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who were involved in the planning and execution of the Open House. It was heart stopping to say the least! The outpouring of love and generosity by many parishioners made for a wonderful event to say goodbye.
We saw our largest crowds here since the beginning of Covid pandemic at our Masses. That was very encouraging! I ask that you continue to support the Church’s ministry of the Catholic Church established by Jesus Christ himself.
I have met with the new pastor who just got back last night and came immediately to see me to reassure me that he will be here Monday the 22nd of Thanksgiving week. Watch the bulletin for Mass time changes or other events that may or may not be held. He will need to unpack and get a lay of the land and territory. I pray you will show the same spiritual thirst and desire to claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life.
Finally, I am an hour away and was told by several of you that you had relatives “up there”. It is reassuring that our friendship will continue when you drop in for Mass or a visit. Pray for me as I will pray for you. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
